25th March 2020
My family and I are still in isolation and will be until 30th March. If you order at the moment your order won't be sent until after that, to be on the safe side.
I have made the decision to keep the online shop up and running, using a parcel collection service once or twice a week, rather than making trips to the Post Office. The courier will be able to do a no-contact delivery to your door. I will keep this under review as time goes on.
In terms of online purchases, I am trying to keep the website as up to date as possible with available stock. It may be that I am not able to get some of the materials as quickly as usual, or at all in some cases - but so far all the supply chains seem stable.
I am keeping up with my usual hygiene standards - I am pretty obsessive anyway so this isn't difficult for me.
As it stands, my classes at the Royal School of Needlework are cancelled until the end of April (hopefully to be rescheduled later on). My goldwork getaway with Great Escapes in June is also cancelled and we hope to reschedule next year. I'm really sorry that we have had to make these decisions, but it is in the interest of public safety.
I am considering my options in terms of online learning, phone consultations, etc, but won't be making any decisions until I feel well. If you have any thoughts on any of this, please do get in touch with me, I would love to hear from you.
Thank you for your continued support. I hope with your help my little business can pull through this and I will be able to support my wonderful customers and students in person before too long.
I hope that you and yours are keeping well, and that we will all bounce back after this crisis. Keep calm and stitch on!
